How Do I Get On A Team?
- "Buddy Pick" -
Most new league members join a team to play with friends, a family member, etc. The
team that picks them up uses what is called a "buddy pick" to add them to their
roster. Unfortunately, this requires that you know someone who is already
playing in the league ...
- Player pool.
Click here to put yourself in our player pool. Teams
needing players will check the league player pool. You can also go to our
forms link to get a copy of the registration and medical
waiver forms which you'll have to fill out before you can play.
- Open Workout Day -
Depending on interest (number of players needed, in the player pool, etc.),
the league occasionally holds a pre-season open workout when players
who want to join a team can come out for an informal workout. Team
managers needing players show up, check you out, and may approach you to join
their team.
- Team managers - You can try calling around to the various team managers to see if
they need players. Click
here to view the team manager directory.
- Check us out -
Drop by the
Reid Annex on Sunday mornings during the season, and meet some of
the guys. You can usually find a team that would like to pick up someone, or
somebody who knows a team that needs players.
Can I Bring In A Full Team?
Yes (provided the season has not started and games have not yet been scheduled).
Go to the forms link. You will need the following
forms:
- Manager checklist
- Registration (both pages, 1 per player)
- Medical waiver (1 per team, all players must sign)
- Team roster (1 per team)
New teams are required to pay a $500 non-refundable deposit, which will be applied
toward fees, to join the league.
There is also a letter that you can use if you are planning to pursue a
sponsor for your team.
When you are ready, contact the league (hotline or email, see above) to let
us know you would like to bring in a team. The season starts in April, so get
your roster to us as early as possible!
